About Riverside Theatres

Riverside Theatres is the City of Parramatta's performing arts centre on the corner of Church and Market Streets, on the northern bank of the Parramatta River. Opened in 1988 as a Bicentennial project, it has three venues under one roof: the 761-seat Riverside Theatre, the 213-seat Lennox and the 88-seat Raffertys. It presents theatre, music, dance, comedy, family shows and cinema, and is home to the National Theatre of Parramatta.

Getting there

Train: Riverside is about a 12-minute walk from Parramatta Station. Take exit 5 towards Parramatta Square, then follow Church Street north across Lennox Bridge.

Light rail: Take the L4 Westmead & Carlingford Line to the Prince Alfred Square stop, a short walk from the theatre.

Ferry: Parramatta Wharf is an 8-minute walk along the river.

Car: Riverside is about 30 minutes' drive from the Sydney CBD, with car parks within walking distance. Allow extra time on CommBank Stadium event days.

Accessibility

Riverside Theatres offers level access and wheelchair spaces in all three theatres, accessible toilets at either end of the foyer and a courtesy wheelchair on loan. An FM assistive hearing system can be pre-booked free with the Box Office, and some performances are Auslan interpreted, audio described, captioned or relaxed. Companion Cards are accepted for all ticketed events, and limited accessible parking for Mobility Parking Scheme permit holders can be pre-booked for $8. Call the Box Office on 02 8839 3399.
