Know your rights under Australian law

It is important to understand your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and under state and territory ticket‑reselling laws.​

• The Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading and deceptive conduct, false or misleading representations and other unfair practices in ticket selling and reselling.​

• Several states, including New South Wales and Western Australia, have specific laws that cap how much above face value tickets can be resold and allow event organisers to cancel tickets that breach resale restrictions.
