How the TIX mailing list works

The TIX mailing list is a free email newsletter from TIX (formerly Lasttix) that tells Australians about discounted tickets, presales and new shows near them. Sign up with your email and postcode and you'll usually get two to four emails a week featuring Lasttix deals on theatre, musicals, concerts, comedy, opera, dance and family events in your state. You can unsubscribe at any time.

What you'll get in your inbox

These are real TIX emails sent to subscribers in September and October 2026. Offers have conditions and limited availability, which are listed on each show page.

How to sign up

  1. Enter your email and postcode in the form at the top of this page. Your name is optional.
  2. Add TIX to your contacts. Emails come from “TIX”, and saving the sender helps deals land in your inbox rather than spam or promotions.
  3. Book from the email. Each offer links to its TIX show page, where you pick a date and book with the official ticket seller.

Frequently asked questions

Is the TIX newsletter free?

Yes. Joining the TIX mailing list is free, and there is no membership fee or account to set up. You only pay for tickets you choose to book.

How often will TIX email me?

Usually two to four emails a week, depending on your state and what's on. Emails are sent when there's a new deal, presale or last-chance offer worth knowing about.

How do I get alerts for live event ticket deals?

Subscribe to the free TIX email on this page with your email and postcode. You'll get Lasttix deals and presales for shows in your state, usually two to four emails a week. You can also check tix.com.au/deals for current offers, and join promoters' and venues' free mailing lists for their own presales (see how to get presale tickets).

Can I set up TIX alerts from ChatGPT?

Yes. Add the TIX app in ChatGPT and ask it to alert you about a show, for example “Tell me when there’s a deal for this show”. It replies with a link to the show’s page on tix.com.au, where you enter your own email to get deals and presales for that show, plus offers in your state. ChatGPT doesn’t sign you up itself, and the alerts are free.

What are the benefits of subscribing to a live event newsletter?

Timing and relevance. Limited-time deals and presales often sell out within days, and a newsletter tells you as soon as they go live. The TIX email is free, covers the shows in your state, includes presales as well as Lasttix deals, and every offer links to the official ticket seller. You can unsubscribe or change states at any time.

Why does TIX ask for my postcode?

TIX sends separate emails for each state and territory, plus New Zealand. Your postcode puts you on the right list, so you hear about shows near you rather than in another city. You can add or remove states from the email preferences link in any TIX email.

Do subscribers get deals that are not on the website?

Current Lasttix deals are listed on tix.com.au/deals. The advantage of subscribing is timing: you hear about new offers as soon as they go live, and many are limited to particular dates or seats and sell out quickly.

How do I unsubscribe from TIX emails?

Click “unsubscribe” or the email preferences link at the bottom of any TIX email. You can stop all emails or keep only the states you're interested in.

Is TIX the same as Lasttix?

Yes. Lasttix launched in 2009 and is now part of TIX. The name lives on as Lasttix deals, TIX’s limited-time discounted offers on live events. There are no separate Firsttix or Fasttix lists: Lasttix deals, presales and last-chance offers all come in the one TIX email for your state.

Where do I buy tickets for offers in TIX emails?

Each offer links to its show page on TIX, which sends you to the official ticket seller to book. TIX is not a ticket reseller, so you pay the advertised offer price, subject to that offer’s conditions.
