About Riverside Live at PHIVE

Riverside Live at PHIVE is a flexible 180-seat black-box theatre on the basement level of PHIVE, the City of Parramatta's community, cultural and civic building at 5 Parramatta Square. Run by Riverside Theatres, it opened in 2026 as an interim home for Riverside and the National Theatre of Parramatta while Riverside's Church Street venue is prepared for redevelopment. It presents theatre, music, dance, comedy, film and talks, and has a licensed bar and foyer.

Getting there

Train: PHIVE is about 200 metres (a three-minute walk) from Parramatta Station. Enter through the main PHIVE entrance in Parramatta Square and take the lifts or stairs to Basement Level 1. The venue is not at Riverside Theatres on the river.

Light rail: Parramatta Square stop on the L4 Westmead & Carlingford Line is about 200 metres away.

Bus: Parramatta Bus Interchange is less than 300 metres away (about a four-minute walk).

Car: Parramatta Square Car Park (entry from the corner of Smith and Darcy streets) and Parramatta Station Car Park at 17 Wentworth Street are both open 24 hours and a short walk away. Metered street parking in the CBD is limited.
