About Eternity Playhouse

Eternity Playhouse is a 200-seat theatre at 39 Burton Street, Darlinghurst, owned by the City of Sydney. It occupies the heritage-listed former Burton Street Tabernacle, a Baptist church completed in 1887, which the City restored and converted into a theatre in 2013. Its name honours Arthur Stace, who chalked 'Eternity' on Sydney's streets for decades. The City hires the venue out for professional theatre seasons, performances and cultural events.
