About Enmore Theatre

Enmore Theatre is a live performance venue on Enmore Road in Newtown, in Sydney’s inner west. Built in 1908 and opened as a photo-play theatre in 1912, it is Sydney’s oldest working theatre and retains the Art Deco interior of its 1930s remodelling. Operated by Century Venues, it presents concerts, comedy, theatre and cultural events for about 1,700 people seated or 2,500 standing.

Getting there

Train: Newtown Station is about a six-minute walk from the theatre.

Bus: Routes 355, 423, 426, 428 and M30 stop outside the theatre. From the eastern suburbs, routes 352, 355 and 370 run to Newtown Station.

Car: Timed on-street parking is limited, so the venue recommends public transport or a taxi. Reserved parking can be booked at the TAFE NSW Design Centre, 144 Edgeware Road, Enmore, which opens from 6pm (earlier for weekend shows).

Accessibility

Accessible bookings are limited and subject to availability, so call the Box Office on (02) 9550 3666 as far ahead as possible to discuss your requirements and book accessible tickets. There is no lift access to the S Lounge or Dress Circle. The venue publishes no further detail on step-free entry, wheelchair positions or accessible toilets, so confirm arrangements with the Box Office before you go.

Access arrangements can change, so please confirm with the venue before you go.
