About Theatre Works
Theatre Works is an independent theatre on Acland Street, St Kilda, housed in the former Christ Church Parish Hall. Founded in 1980 by graduates of the Victorian College of the Arts, the company has been at this address since 1986. It presents and supports new work by independent artists across many theatrical styles and often hosts Melbourne Fringe and Midsumma shows. A new backstage and rehearsal space opened at the venue in 2025.
