About Regent Theatre Melbourne

The Regent Theatre is a landmark theatre at 191 Collins Street in Melbourne, operated by Marriner Group and known for large-scale musicals and touring productions. It opened as a grand picture palace in 1929 and, after surviving a fire, a flood and 20 years in darkness, was refurbished and reopened by Marriner in 1996. The building is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
