About Crown LIVE

Crown LIVE is a live entertainment venue on Level 3 at the west end of Crown Melbourne in Southbank, across from the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. It is the redeveloped form of The Palms at Crown, which opened in 1997 and hosted more than 150 shows a year. Crown says the reimagined theatre, reopening in November 2026, holds up to 1,250 guests in a tiered lounge with two small balconies, for concerts, comedy and theatre residencies.

Getting there

Tram: The Casino/MCEC/Clarendon St stop (Stop 124A) is closest, served by routes including 12, 96 and 109.

Train: Flinders Street Station is about a 15-minute walk via Queens Bridge or the Yarra footbridges.

Car: Crown has two car parks with more than 5,000 spaces, plus valet parking at the Atrium Entrance on Whiteman Street. From the multi-level Crown car park, cross the footbridge on Level 2 and take the lifts or escalators to Level 3. On foot from the Riverwalk, use the Food Court entrance and its lifts and escalators.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access to Crown LIVE is by the lifts on the ground level (including those in the Food Court) up to Level 3, entering the auditorium through Door 1 or Door 2. Accessible seating bays are in Lounge Row E only; most other seats, and both balconies, are reached by steps, and frames and walkers cannot be used on the auditorium steps. The closest accessible all-gender toilet is in the auditorium lobby, and the venue does not have wheelchairs for hire. Book wheelchair seats online where marked or through Ticketmaster Accessible Bookings on 1300 446 925, and present your Companion Card at the box office when collecting tickets.

Access arrangements can change, so please confirm with the venue before you go.

Where to sit

Crown LIVE holds up to 1,250 people in one main tiered section, called the Stalls on the seating map and the Lounge by the venue, with two small raised balconies on the left and right sides (rows AA to DD). Rows A to F are on the flat floor; rows G to X are raked and reached by steps, and the balconies are up a set of stairs. For general admission shows the flat front area becomes standing room, while rows G to X and the balconies stay seated. For reserved seating shows, wheelchair seating is in row E.

Layouts change from show to show, so check the seating map when you book.
