About Irene Mitchell Studio

The Irene Mitchell Studio is a black box theatre with a raked seating bank for about 100 people at St Martins Youth Arts Centre, St Martins Lane, South Yarra. It hosts independent theatre, festival seasons such as Melbourne Fringe, and school productions. The theatre complex opened in 1956 for the Melbourne Little Theatre, and the studio is named after Irene Mitchell, the company's leading lady and later artistic director.

Tram: Route 58 (stop 123) and route 16 (stop 22) stop nearby.

Train: South Yarra Station is nearby.

Bus: Route 605.

Car: A small car park at St Martins Place behind the theatre has limited spaces, and there is street parking in the area.
