About Brunswick Ballroom

Brunswick Ballroom is a live music and performance venue on Sydney Road in Brunswick, set upstairs in a historic building that was once a milliner's factory, the Metropolis Ballroom and later the live music venue The Spotted Mallard. Reopened in February 2021 after a renovation led by Will Ewing with Andrew Kay, it presents music, cabaret and comedy, often with a dinner-and-show option, and has a balcony overlooking Sydney Road.

Getting there

Tram: Route 19 (North Coburg to Flinders Street) runs along Sydney Road. Glenlyon Road is the nearest stop.

Train: Brunswick Station on the Upfield line is about a 6-minute walk, and Jewell Station is about 9 minutes away.

Car: Parking is available on Phoenix Street (Woolworths), about 150 metres away, and at the Aldi car park on David Street behind the venue.

Accessibility

The main room is on the first floor, reached by stairs or an Acorn Indoor 180 curved stairlift. Wheelchair users need to transfer out of their wheelchair to use the stairlift, which may be difficult for some patrons. Accessible toilets are on the ground level.
