About Alexander Theatre, Monash University
The Alexander Theatre is a 561-seat proscenium arch theatre on Monash University's Clayton campus, part of The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts and run by Monash University Performing Arts Centres (MPAC). A modernist foundation building of the campus, it was built in 1967 and reopened in 2018 after a major revitalisation that added an active acoustic sound system and an automated flying system. It presents concerts, theatre, dance and school and community productions.
