About Royal International Convention Centre

The Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC) is a convention and exhibition centre inside the historic Brisbane Showgrounds at Bowen Hills, about 1.5 km from Brisbane's CBD. Run by the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland, it offers around 4,000 square metres of event space over two levels, including three flexible halls used for expos, conferences, gala dinners and live events. It holds Green Globe sustainability certification.

Getting there

Train: Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley stations are less than a 10-minute walk from the Brisbane Showgrounds. Exhibition station, in the heart of the Showgrounds, opens for major events.

Bus: The main stops are on Bowen Bridge Road outside The Old Museum and on St Pauls Terrace near King Street. CityGlider services also run nearby.

Car: The Showgrounds has three undercover car parks with more than 1,100 spaces. The Royal ICC car park, entered from Gregory Terrace, is closest to the convention centre; The Pavilion car park (Gate 5, O'Connell Terrace) and King Street Parking are also available.

Accessibility

The Royal International Convention Centre is wheelchair accessible on both levels, with designated accessible parking on the ground level. Accessible restrooms are on both the upper and lower levels, each bathroom area has an ambulant toilet, and parent rooms are on both levels. An assisted hearing loop is installed, and wheelchairs can be borrowed from the Customer Relations team. For specific needs, contact the Brisbane Showgrounds on (07) 3253 3900 or the event organiser before booking.
