About Perth Town Hall

Perth Town Hall is a heritage-listed Victorian Free Gothic hall on the corner of Hay and Barrack streets in central Perth, run by the City of Perth. Built by convicts and free tradesmen between 1867 and 1870 and opened on 1 June 1870, it is the only Australian capital city town hall built by convict labour. Its first-floor Main Hall, with a 15-metre ceiling, seats up to 340 for concerts, events and weddings.
