About Octagon Theatre

The Octagon Theatre is a performing arts venue on the University of Western Australia's Crawley campus, run by University Theatres. Opened in 1969, it was Australia's first thrust-stage theatre, with 683 tiered seats (up to 758 when the stage is removed) and no seat more than 12 metres from the stage. It hosts theatre, dance, opera, music, comedy, talks and Perth Festival productions.

Getting there

Public transport: Plan Transperth trips to the UWA Crawley campus on Stirling Highway; UWA's transport and parking pages have campus directions and maps.

Car: The closest parking is in car parks 1 and 5. UWA parking is paid from 8am to 5pm on weekdays via the EasyPark app or meters, and free after 5pm and on weekends unless signs say otherwise.

Accessibility

Patrons enter the ground-floor foyer with no steps, and a lift goes to the first floor for access to the auditorium. Wheelchair positions for up to eight wheelchair users are on the back row (row M). An accessible toilet with baby change is in the foyer. There is no hearing loop. Contact ticketsWA or University Theatres when booking to reserve wheelchair positions.

Access arrangements can change, so please confirm with the venue before you go.
