About Cairns Performing Arts Centre

Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) is a performing arts venue on the corner of Sheridan and Florence streets in Cairns, opposite Munro Martin Parklands. Run by Cairns Regional Council, it opened on 15 December 2018 and replaced the Cairns Civic Centre. CPAC has a 941-seat proscenium theatre with balcony seating and a studio seating up to 400. It hosts theatre, music, dance and national and international touring productions.

Getting there

Car: CPAC has a public car park for 132 vehicles, including four accessible bays, entered from Grafton, Sheridan or Florence streets. There is also free and paid street parking nearby. Taxis and drop-offs use the zone off Florence Street, to the right of the Box Office.

Public transport: CPAC is in Cairns City. Use the Translink journey planner for local bus services.

Accessibility

CPAC is a fully accessible venue, and access seating is available when you book. A designated drop-off zone on Florence Street has a ramp to the foyer and Box Office, lifts serve all levels and there are accessible toilets on every level. Hearing loops are fitted at the Box Office, bar, Theatre and Studio, and headsets can be collected from the Box Office. Assistance animals are welcome; tell Ticketlink when booking. Many events accept the Companion Card, booked in person or by calling the Box Office on 1300 855 835.
