About Daniel Hope in Recital
Internationally acclaimed British violinist Daniel Hope joins pianist Marie-Sophie Hauzel for a captivating recital in Melbourne.
For more than 35 years, Hope has been a leading presence on the international stage, celebrated for his remarkable versatility, imaginative programming, and compelling interpretive artistry. An exclusive recording artist with Deutsche Grammophon since 2007, Hope first gained recognition as the youngest member of the legendary Beaux Arts Trio, performing more than 400 concerts with the ensemble. Alongside his performing career, he directs the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and New Century Chamber Orchestra, and serves as President of the Beethoven-Haus Bonn.
In this special Melbourne recital, Hope and Hauzel present a vibrant program featuring works by George Enescu, Gabriel Fauré and Antonín Dvořák, followed by Felix Mendelssohn and the powerful Violin Sonata, Op.82 by Edward Elgar.
Performing on the rare 1742 “ex-Lipínski” Guarneri del Gesù, Hope promises an evening of remarkable virtuosity, lyricism and masterful artistry.
